Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of jobhunt (“Coach,” “the app,” “we”), a private, invite-only tool for running a job search. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
Accounts and access
- Access is invite-only today: registration requires a valid invite code. One account is intended per person.
- You must provide a working email address and verify it before your account is activated.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure, and for activity under your account.
- Don’t share, resell, or transfer access; don’t create accounts to evade limits.
What the app does
Coach interviews you, builds a career profile from what you provide, analyzes how you fit a role, and generates tailored résumés, cover letters, and interview-prep materials. These features use large-language-model providers and, for optional voice dictation, a speech-to-text provider. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Hosted AI providers
Using an AI feature authorizes Coach to send the task context needed for that feature to a configurable hosted AI provider. Different roles can use different providers, and a primary or fallback provider may handle a request depending on the current configuration and availability. The current committed baseline includes Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, and NeuralWatt; assignments can change as described in the Privacy Policy.
Task context can include your chat, résumé, profile, source documents, job description, application context, instructions, contact information, and generated drafts. Images, rendered document pages, or audio are sent only when you choose a feature that uses those inputs. Coach does not add the account password collected for sign-in or full payment-card details collected by Stripe to model requests. Do not paste passwords, payment-card details, or other secrets into an AI feature.
There is currently no user setting to choose a provider or require local-only processing; the app’s core AI features depend on hosted processing. Provider requests are also subject to each provider’s own API and privacy terms. Deleting data from Coach does not recall a request already processed, and we cannot guarantee deletion from a provider’s systems.
Your content and your responsibility
- You retain ownership of the content you provide — your resume, profile, and the documents Coach generates for you. You grant us the permission needed to process that content to provide the service (including sending the relevant parts to the third-party processors described in the Privacy Policy).
- Only submit content you have the right to use. Don’t upload someone else’s confidential information without permission.
- You are responsible for what you send to employers. Coach is built around intellectual honesty — it is designed to avoid inventing facts and to surface gaps and disqualifiers — but AI-generated text can still be wrong or incomplete. Review every document before you submit it. The fit analysis and generated materials are tools to assist your judgment, not a substitute for it.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the app to:
- Misrepresent your experience or fabricate credentials — that defeats the purpose of the tool and is on you, not us.
- Break the law, infringe others’ rights, or submit content you have no right to use.
- Attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users’ data.
- Resell the service or use it on behalf of third parties without permission.
Feedback submissions
When you send product feedback, you may optionally attach images, PDFs, or explicitly selected chat messages. You grant us permission to store that material and allow authenticated operators/admins to review it to understand and triage your report. Only attach material you have the right to share, and avoid including someone else’s confidential or personal information unless you have permission. Attaching material to feedback does not itself authorize us to send it to a language-model provider; its access, retention, backup, and deletion treatment is described in the Privacy Policy.
Billing
When paid subscriptions are enabled, billing is handled by Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled, at the price shown at checkout. Subscription enforcement is not active for all accounts today and applies only once the operator enables it. Taxes, if any, are your responsibility. Except where required by law or where a money-back guarantee stated at checkout or in your purchase confirmation applies, fees already paid are non-refundable.
If a money-back guarantee stated at checkout or in your purchase confirmation applies, email hello@jobhunt.coach from the email address on your account before the stated guarantee period ends. We reply within one business day to acknowledge your message and explain next steps. That is a support-response commitment, not a refund-processing deadline; any refund that is due may take additional time to reach your account through Stripe and your financial institution.
Referral and affiliate promotions
If the operator enables a referral offer, an eligible customer may share a promotional link that offers the amount shown in the app as “$X off your first payment.” A promotional link is not a registration invite and does not grant complimentary access. The server applies the current eligible offer at checkout; offers may change prospectively, while a qualifying purchase keeps its recorded snapshot. A payment made at or before the recorded promotion expiry can still qualify when Stripe delivers its signed notices during the following 30-day reconciliation period; that period does not extend the deadline to make the payment.
A referrer reward or affiliate commission is not earned merely because someone signs up. It remains pending after a qualifying first payment through the seven-day refund window, can then become earned, and is completed manually as an external payout or account credit. An unfulfilled reward can be reversed after a refund or lost dispute. If fulfillment was already recorded, the operator must reconcile that external action separately; the app does not undo a payment or credit by itself.
Availability and changes
The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. It is a small, independently operated tool; we may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the service will be error-free. We keep reasonable backups but cannot guarantee against all data loss.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for outcomes of your job search, for the accuracy of generated content, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may stop using the app and request deletion of your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, abuse of the service, or to protect other users. On termination, your right to use the app ends; data deletion follows the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the effective date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect.
